The Esmeraldas District is best known for the famous Blue Sun Stadium but everything else fails to gather much notice to the other New Angelinos at large. The district is made of a mix of several elements that make the area rather homogeneous when compared to the rest of the city as a whole. Warehouses take up much of the coast and act as the third most important centre of exports and imports. There are a few agroplexes found here to aid in the production of food in the city. There are functional neighbourhoods in condensed city blocks with some areas of decay and forgotten projects. Outside of a few key attractions, all of the district's average aspects together make the unimpressive area perhaps perfect for the working and middle-class to call home. Many would consider the Esmeraldas the third-best at many things in the city and many here are happy with not being last.
The residential-packed Streets, Historic Esmeraldas and coastal Malecon are found in the Esmeraldas.
Blue Sun Stadium
The gigantic blue-domed stadium sits outside the row of housing blocks making up the Streets. Owned by the Sun family, the famed Blue Sun Stadium is where a number of sporting events and performances are hosted. It is home to the New Angeles Giants Soccer Team, Yellow Jackets baseball team and the Swordfish American Football team. The stadium is large enough to run two events at the same time and never has trouble filling up its seats for their packed venues. The surrounding businesses enjoy a good amount of revenue for being in proximity. There are various sports bars with broadcasts of live sports, perfect for those who want to avoid the high cost of admission. Businesses dedicated to selling sporting goods and fitness supplements have also opened up recently in larger numbers, hoping to aspire to the next generation of athletic superstars.
Universo Gym
Universo Gym is a multi-storied fitness complex located across from the Blue Sun Stadium and garners a large amount of attention because of it. The gym boasts several facilities to cater to all physical activities and training such as (to mention only a few): a full indoor track, AI-calibrated equipment, and a live shooting obstacle course combination. Its staff include several personal trainers that can supposedly advise each of their clients down to the molecular level, taking all enhancements into consideration. Sometimes, some celebrities will make an appearance here when they are training for their next role. It is said that Miranda Rhapsody made a few appearances over the years, adding to its impressive wall of celebrities at the lobby. Needless to say, membership to Universo Gym is very exclusive, highly expensive, and there is a long waitlist. This waitlist is often circumvented quickly by risties, corporate officers, and generally good-looking people.

Eat Row
Eat Row is a long street made up of several restaurants, catering to various cuisines and tastes from standard American fare to international fusion food. There are enough restaurants here to fit anyone's craving, different cuisines can be found side by side and layered atop each other. Setting and arrangements wildly differ by establishments, some feature formal dining arrangements and others might only consist of outdoor seating with cheap plastic furniture. The food prepared here is typically made well with much of the ingredients grown locally and a focus on taste but lacking much in the presentation that risties would normally be seeking to get attention on FriendNet.
Fish and Ships
Fish and Ship is found in the dockyards of the Malecon, serving all manner of seafood cuisine. The restaurant is run by Phil and Robert, a married couple who were both former dockworkers before opening their business. It is known for its collection of fish, displayed in tanks around the restaurant, giving customers a good idea of their next meal. All fish here are cloned in fish farms, giving each meal a consistent taste every visit and easily garnering a loyal following of regulars. The interior of the restaurant boasts a quaint design of wooden panelled walls with circular windows to give a vague similarity of an old-ship interior without being too hammy about it.
