Game Premise

Ignacio Wells had chosen to step down from his position as New Angeles mayor one year before the end of his term which ushered in a quick election to fill the vacant seat. The time leading up to the election was short and several candidates fought aggressively for the position. At the end of a tense election campaign and the closing of the polls, Alice Delgado was elected as the new mayor of New Angeles. Alice Delgado was considered to be an outsider in the established political circle but was known for her integrity and efficiency during her tenure of managing the NAPD before her transition into politics. Her platform promised sweeping reforms to the city in favour of its residents and a return to integrity.

Most notably, Delgado and her office started engaging in numerous construction projects in her first year in the mayor's office. There were quick rumours circulating that Delgado might have ties to the Weyland Consortium, as many of their subsidiaries had been awarded contracts. Some of these key projects included the growth of the Esmeraldas district and the gradual gentrification of the slums of Guayaquil.

Alice Delgado surprisingly proved to be a popular figure on the lunar colony of Heinlein, as she had served for years in the NAPD headquarters there and had ingrained herself with the locals there. Her platform included the expansion of the colony, bridging the colony's governance closer to the city of New Angeles. The key to this expansion will be the revitalization of the Docklands, continuing the once-forgotten work to make the subdistrict fully realized for the future.

The mayor's office and city council have assembled a planning committee of 120 individuals, taken from the brightest minds, most connected, and representative of key investors to the project. It's of no surprise that many Megacorporations have a great interest to see Alice's project fully realized, especially the expansion of the Heinlein will likely create new contracts. Admittedly, this has also attracted a number of other individuals who seek to potentially profit by riding on its coattails and a few who genuinely bought into Delgado's vision.

New Angeles is a game set in the universe of Android: Shadow of the Beanstalk, run by Boogiepop. The theme of the game is politics and city management.

This is a semi-cooperative game where individuals and representatives of various organizations will be working together to see to the mayor's grand vision realized in the expansion of the lunar colony on Heinlein. Everyone will be striving toward the same agenda and goal, although their reasoning for being here and their personal goals might differ from the group. Ultimately, only one individual will find themselves a lasting long-term fixture on Heinlein or at least be responsible for appointing such an individual.

This game will take place over the course of 9 game days, 5 game days will be set in New Angeles proper and 4 game days will be set in the lunar colony of Heinlein. There will be a host of events that will determine if the agenda is realized, optional fun events and some potential threats to the group agenda. The game may have optional combat and Network related segments if the group is equipped for it.

The game will likely have a timeline of 3 real-life days per 1 game day and taking around 27 days to complete, without accounting for potential circumstances. Admittedly, my online availability is dependent on my work, which I'm often away during the day from Monday to Friday on an American Eastern Standard Time Zone. I should be more available during the weekends.
