Setting
- The game takes place on future Earth, approaching the year 2200 approximately (by my estimation).
- The city is a cyberpunk/dystopia setting where there is a great divide between the successful and the poor.
- There is a great advancement in technology including the finding of efficient clean fusion energy, made thanks to helium-3 mined from the moon and avoiding an environmental crisis on Earth.
- AI has been fully realized thanks to replicating human brain mapping, making computer AI and robotic bioroids possible. These bioroids generally follow the rules of robotics to not harm humans.
- While not prevalent in everyone, cybernetics exist in humans. Computers are not often implanted in humans but with the correct cybernetic implants, humans can be connected to interface with a computer and the Network.
- Full transhumanism, human to digital transfer and uploading, does not exist.
- Laser guns exist in a limited capacity.
- Flying vehicles (cars and trucks) exist, known as hoppers.
- Genetic engineering has reached such peaks where humans can be enhanced genetically and fast breeding clones can be produced. Clones are further bioengineered for their jobs and conditioned to loyalty.
- Both Bioroids and Clones have taken a great number of jobs formerly occupied by humans, creating a great deal of unemployment in the world. Collectively, these creations are known as 'Androids'.
- Humanity has ascended to the stars as far as Jupiter in a limited capacity. Space travel speeds have not significantly improved from the present but thanks to the Space Elevator (known as the Beanstalk), it has been made much easier.
- There are colonies on Luna and Mars. Much of Mars is being terraformed at the moment
- The game takes place in New Angeles, a territory of the United States found in the leased lands of Ecuador. Currently, New Angeles has the only space elevator in the world, which is connected to the lunar colony of Heinlein.
- The Network exists in the setting, which is a rebooted version of the internet after a great blackout virus, connecting everyone and their daily habits to a singular online source.
- This will be run with the Genesys roleplaying system, which is nearly identical to the system used in the Star Wars game.
- PCs can be mostly natural humans, bioroid, clone, cyborg, g-mod (genetically modified), and humans who had spent a great amount of time in space.
- PCs are allowed and encouraged to come from all aspects of society, from the unfortunate to the wealthy.
- This is a cooperative game, although end-goals may differ.
- There will 9 in-game days.
