Agenda Points and Story Structure

Agenda Points

While Mayor Alice Delgado has greenlit her project to revitalize the Docklands subdistrict, there were a number of factors that will determine whether the project will prove to be a success and come to fruition or ultimately be seen as a failure and tarnish her term. Each committee member can take part in daily Agenda Events where they will work toward the same goal to earn Agenda Points collectively. Many of these will consist of meeting a minimum collective number of event points, which when achieved will add an Agenda Point (or potentially more) to the project. After the minimum event points are collected, additional event points and participation may go towards a secondary goal that will yield additional gains for each participant.

Please keep in mind that there may be some events over the course of the game that may deduct Agenda Points if not addressed successfully. There will be some potential strife along the way in Crisis Events. Crisis Events may take the form of combat, contested rolls, and/or events the committee to take part in. The number of Crisis Events will be no more than half the number of Agenda Events and they will not occur every day. Many of these events have limited participation slots.

Side Events will have no effect on the Agenda Points and are often leisure activities, although there will be some potential rewards given for competing, based on placement.

Throughout the game, there will be opportunities relating to the procurement of Funding Points. Funding Points are an unspecified amount of credits that can only be used toward the committee member's city plan and potential campaign for the district manager on Heinlein. This will aid in each individual committee's bid toward influencing the government if they wish to pursue that route. Each Funding Point will ultimately translate into a Boost Die to be allocated in the last Agenda Event on Day 9 where each committee member will be submitting their plans on the management of Heinlein.

Agenda Points will be tallied at the end of the game to determine the outcome of the committee's efforts.

Results
5 Agenda Points: The Committee gathers enough support and plans competently enough to revitalize the Docklands. The mayor's project is realized, although the benefits to New Angeles may not be wholly tangible to the general public. The committee members are awarded one personal endgame goal.

7 Agenda Points: The project proves to be a success and Heinlein sees much economic prosperity. Loonie relations and sentiments improve slightly with Earth. The committee members are further awarded for their work with an additional major endgame goal.

9 Agenda Points: The perfect score. The project proves to be a great success to the residents of New Angeles and Heinlein, boosting the popularity of Mayor Alice Delgado to ensure likely re-election in the future. Loonie relations and sentiments improve drastically with Earth, potentially paving the way forward to cooperation. The committee members are awarded a Big Favour from either the Loonies or the New Angeles Government.

Story Structure

The story of New Angeles will revolve around Mayor Alice Delgado's plans of revitalizing the Docklands in Heinlein. This story will be mostly told in Agenda Events where each committee member will participate in a number of different activities to achieve that. Those who are looking to involve themselves more politically or socially may be able to seek out favours from some NPCs to further better their chances in getting their foot as a potential candidate for district manager in Heinlein. A post as a public servant may require the candidate to renounce faction ties, public faction ties at the very least.

Throughout the game, there will be opportunities for side stories. Some of these side stories may relate to the background and participation of Crisis Events tied to the main story. There might be various threats that are looking to undo the mayor and committee's work.

Finally, there may be some short side stories that aren't related to the larger agenda but related to the going on's of New Angeles or the fulfillment of a character's favour.
