The Docklands were initially destined to become a developed settlement much like Lunacent. Now, it is mostly industrial complexes and a haven for questionable characters.

The Docklands were first erected during the height of the growth boom on Luna and destined to become one of the many habitat domes on Heinlein. Complications began with the Lunar Insurrection as development was still going on. In the aftermath, Melange Mining began to buy out their competitors and close down some stations, construction of the Docklands stalled out then failed to meet its full completion.

The area is found inside a lunar crater and the dome framework still exists standing as a reminder of promises unfulfilled. Despite its failed completion, there is still some life at the docklands and continues to operate as an industrial area. The land is cheaper, although the large overhead of operating on Luna still remains, which allows some corporations to set up their factories there. Ageing factories and warehouses operate all day, their exteriors coated with large swathes of dust. The buildings look in various states of disrepair, suffering the most from the realities of living on the moon. Travelling outside will require an enclosed vehicle or a spacesuit.

The local government and the NAPD strongly discourage visitors from being here. Police presence is at a minimum here and even corporate personnel are typically escorted. The Docklands are unfortunately known for their shady characters.

Most recently, several construction camps have been set up around the Docklands in preparation for future projects to come. There is a great abundance of cranes and building frames already installed for the difficult task of building a new settlement on Heinlein. While the great influx of work is appreciated by both Luna and Earth, the locals are rather wary about the change that it may introduce.

Aesop's Pawnshop
Aesop's Pawnshop enjoys a large amount of business with the lack of police presence in the Docklands. The pawnshop's cyborg owner can be found behind a booth made with reinforced material to serve his client. He is willing to pay for goods with no questions asked, so long as it is in working order. Those looking for more restricted and illegal items can find them here for sale, although he will charge a premium potentially. Aesop keeps his store clean and spartan, all of his used goods are clearly displayed on the shelves here with little frills.

Lunes and Dunes
Lunes and Dunes is an independent garage and shop that specializes only in lunar land vehicles. They do a lot of maintenance work for the locals, often the rough and dusty terrain requires them to be maintained often to keep them at optimal performance. They also have a fleet of lunar buggies that they rent to visitors, charging a rather high price for their use. Furthermore, they also come in a number of colours that sets them apart from the local vehicles which also make them easier to retrieve in the wasteland when visitors get overzealous with them. Insurance and rescue is extra.

Waller Scraps and Parts
Waller Scraps and Parts is often where an old vehicle might end up being stripped of parts. There is often no shortage of work for the parts store although there are rumours that they've taken their share of stolen vehicles and cannibalized the Docklands for parts. None of the NAPD have decided to investigate that claim. The business employs humans only and most of them are veterans of the Lunar Insurrection. The garage and warehouse are hidden away at the edge of the Docklands, surrounded by cannibalized shells of other buildings and dens other questionable businesses.
