Diana let out a sigh, as she eyed the tall glass of water in front of herself. The place intrigued her, so she decided to give it a whirl. The sights were nice, the water was expensive. Really, all was...fine.

Except for this dang problem of a job. She smiled to herself, musing. It did took a while, but it does seem that she was finally wrangled into the family business. Ah well.

She took another sip of water, moistening her lips, her thoughts far away at home, on the MOON.

Like her usual shady self, Lenore stalked towards the establishment. With her shaded smartspecs on and her hands delved deep into her streetwear jacket, she certainly didn't look like a friendly neighborhood shopper.

After a quick glance around, she stepped inside and lifted her shades. The person who'd caught her interest wasn't who she'd expected but mesmerized her nonetheless.

We're not ready to talk to her. Drink some of that vodka, quick!

And then our breath would smell even more like liquor? We should have some semblance of class.

It'd be nice to sleep in just a bit more.

She glanced at the prices and outright frowned. But with that information at hand, she had an approach in mind. "Is it worth the price?" she asked, keeping her stance casual. Most importantly, she kept her hands out in the open. Disarming tactic and, well, she wasn't planning on electrocuting this woman.

Certainly no clone would be so well-dressed...

Diana slowly raised her eyes to the newcomer, taking her all in. A slight smirk appeared on her lips.

"The view? Absolutely? The water..." she shrugged. "Better than whatever is recycled back home, but it's more prestige than flavor." She gestured towards an empty seat at her table. "Care to sit, miss...?"

"Ah, yeah, I guess that makes sense," Lenore said, playing it totally cool. "I suppose it'd be bad to have it taste like anything, right?" Then again, she couldn't rule out some sort of GeneMod or cybernetic allowing some strange sense of taste. And with looks like that, this woman had to be able to afford something like that if so desired.

Introduce ourselves, hm? People love our familial name. Use that one.

"Miss Gauvreau," she said, taking the seat as offered. Leaning back, she gave the entrancing woman one more quick lookover before smiling. "I suppose the prestige never appealed to me personally."

Remember: she mentioned 'back home.'

"Still, I think it's worth experiencing at least once. If you're not from around here though, then where did you come from?"

"Diana Harper." Her lips quirked upwards. "Diana Chang'E Harper-Zhao to be exact, but I find that to be a mouthful usually." She leaned back, observing the movements of her new companion. "A woman of practicality and function then, I gather?"

At the question of where she came from, and she merely pointed upwards.

"And you? Around from here?"

"Chang'E eh?" she asked, doing her best to pronounce the name correctly. Passable, perhaps, for somebody who still struggled to even get names of Japanese origin correct. "After the... goddess, was it?"

Consequences aside, we'd look foolish because we didn't bring a cutter.

"Yeah, I lean more into that sort of things. Comes with the territory, I guess." She smirked and pointed downwards to her question. "You're in my turf right now."

Diana scooted closer, her long arm settling on Lenore's shoulder while she settled her head on her shoulder. She caught a whiff of...something? Probably?

After the selfie is done, she scooted slightly away. "Oh, not for a while now. Not since I finished college. MBA or something or other." She seemed dismissive of the fact.

Diana scrunched her nose for a brief moment, but she tried to hide it and took a sip of water. When she heard about Lenore's job, she beamed? "Really? Awesome! I'm there too! I was worried everyone else would be some kind of stuffy bureaucrat with no sense of fun." She chuckled. "At least it won't be boring then. You don't seem boring. You're not boring, are you?"

This is a good gauge of this lovely woman's sanity.

Di smiled. "Oh? Curious." She leaned back, lounging in her chair, her long legs stretching out under the table.

"Mhm...good. I was worried this would be a chore, but who knows, it could be fun." She titled her head. "What do you think of the whole plan Miss Gauvreau? This expansion thingie."

"I understand androids working in the government, of course, but to be in such a position? Ah, well, it claims that the people voted it into power." She shrugged, taking a sip of water. "Can't stop that liberation movement from gaining traction, I suppose."

There is a way, though a heavy hand doesn't always last.

"As for the plan, it's sensible enough. Perhaps ambitious but I don't think anything in our world has ever been accomplished with complacency."
