Compared to the rest of New Angeles, La Costa looks rather untouched with its great abundance of green space that makes the district look like a hidden paradise in the middle of a highly developed city. La Costa is under strict regulation with much of its land devoted to agriculture and farming. While not all plants and livestock are entirely natural, it still acts as the city’s ecological preserve. Parks and large stretches of conservation make up for the other majority of the 'rural' district. There are residential areas found here in the stretches of fields and standing agroplexes, although the cost of real estate here is exceptionally high for a good reason. This land is highly contested between parties looking to grow urban development and those in the highly competitive world of corporate agriculture.

Machalilla Park
Machalilla Park is one of the largest public parks in New Angeles, formerly a national park before it found itself surrounded by the city. Much of the land is still untouched, offering a variety of wetlands, forests and coastline to appreciate in awe. This park is easily a natural wonder to the New Angelinos to the city and it is fiercely protected from intrusion, maintaining mostly clear airspace. There are long stretches of trails open to the public but an even larger portion of that is closed off, devoted strictly to the wildlife and its enclosed ecosystem. Sometimes a low-standing fence might be the only barrier visitors will find between the park and the true wilderness here. There are many warning signs, encouraging visitors to not tempt the wildlife.
Vineland
Vineland is a plantation and resort winery that is a big draw for weddings, corporate gathering and other formal events. It maintains the facade of a traditional winery with its wooden buildings overlooking the vast property. The plantation features an impressive orchard with various grapes, plums, and all manner of engineered plants to be made into wine on-site. Visitors at Vineland can sample some rather unorthodox wine creations such as strawberry-flavoured rosé, cucumber-mixed chilled wines and unusually coloured pinot noirs perfect for various reveal parties. While none of the creations will meet the expectations of any true wine connoisseur, it will at least reward visitors with many views when they share their visit on FriendNet.
Magic Wonder World New Angeles
Magic Wonder World has recently opened its New Angeles branch in the last few years, bringing its beloved characters Magus Mally and her friends to the megacity. The location-exclusive Newton the Newt has recently joined her large ensemble. The massive amusement park is known for her its old-fashioned rides and games which see seasonable popularity despite the proliferation of virtual amusement parks today. This Magic Wonder World is an exact replica of the one found in SanSan including its Magus Mountain roller-coaster, the 20-loop Dragon Flight, and Lord Lionel's teacup ride. There are a large variety of carnival games that are constantly rotating in theme to suit all holidays and occasions, although they are notoriously difficult, especially those who are used to playing on digital platforms.
The amusement park has been perhaps the biggest source of controversy in recent history especially when development had been granted to Magic Wonder World with little difficulty, taking up land that could have been better used for either conservation or agriculture. Needless to say, the business and local government maintain a nearly spotless record regarding this transaction. Rumours from the ShadowNet say that their biggest distractors now reside below the park. Presently, the park would be a large target for graffiti but thanks to new technology, most markings are almost immediately removed.

Park visitors can play in Magic Wonder World's many games to win themselves a plushie or toy of Magus Mally and her friends (Wizard Geoffrey, Lord Lionel, Duchess Dolores, Witch Oharu and so on). They may make a Combat or General Skill at Daunting Difficulty (◆◆◆◆), 25 Credits per attempt.
Riding the 20-loop Dragon Flight will require Resilience (Brawn) or Discipline (Willpower) skill checks of Average (◆◆), Hard (◆◆◆), and Daunting Difficulty (◆◆◆◆). Each failed roll will inflict 5 strain to the rider, this cannot be soaked. Each Threat will add to the strain loss, Advantages will regain a strain each, and a Triumph will negate any strain loss.
